Questions
The things people ask before they call.
How much does an app cost?
It depends entirely on what it has to do. A simple app that shows information and takes a booking is a fraction of one that handles payments, drivers and live tracking. That's why we don't publish a price — we work out what you actually need in the consultation, then give you one fixed figure in writing.
How long does it take?
A straightforward website can be weeks; a full business system is months. We break the work into short stages and show you something working at the end of each one, so you're never waiting in the dark. You'll get a timeline with your quote.
Do I own the software when it's finished?
Yes. You own what we build for you, and we'll hand over the code and the accounts. We're not in the business of holding your business hostage.
Can you take card payments for my business?
Yes — we build card payments into websites and apps on WiPay's Jamaican rail. Card details are entered on the payment provider's own secure page, so they never touch your systems or ours. The payment form further down this page is the same technology.
I only have an idea — is that enough to start?
That's the most common way people come to us, and it's exactly what the consultation is for. You don't need a spec, a drawing or any technical vocabulary. Describe the problem in plain words and we'll do the rest.
Do you work with businesses outside Jamaica?
Yes. We're based in Westmoreland and most of our clients are Jamaican, but we've built and launched for clients as far away as Alaska. Distance hasn't been a problem.
What happens after it launches?
Software needs looking after — servers, security updates, backups, and the small changes every business ends up wanting. Our care plans start at J$6,000 a month. You can also take it away and manage it yourself; it's yours.
Can you fix or take over something someone else built?
Often, yes. Bring it to the consultation and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth repairing or whether you'd spend less starting again. We'll say so either way.
